About the Role

SEAS Productions is seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead the planning and execution of live events from initial handoff through final closeout. This role oversees all aspects of event production, including client communication, scheduling, logistics, technical planning, and onsite leadership.

In addition to project management, this position plays a critical role in technical system design—ensuring equipment is strategically planned, organized, and deployed in a way that improves efficiency, consistency, reliability, and overall show quality.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically proficient, client-focused, and thrives in fast-paced environments with multiple moving parts and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage live events from post-sale handoff through execution and closeout
  • Serve as the primary client contact during pre-production and onsite execution
  • Develop and manage event timelines, schedules, and logistics plans
  • Build detailed show books, including run of show, technical plans, and execution details
  • Lead technical system design, including rack builds, system layouts, signal flow planning, and equipment deployment strategies
  • Ensure systems are designed for efficient setup, consistency, and reliability across productions
  • Coordinate labor planning and resource allocation with internal teams
  • Lead and manage onsite crews to ensure successful event execution
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, warehouse teams, vendors, and external partners
  • Monitor project scope, timelines, and deliverables to ensure client expectations are met
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively during planning and onsite execution
  • Travel to event locations and oversee onsite production operations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in live event production or a related field
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of audiovisual systems and live event workflows
  • Experience with technical system design, equipment configuration, and signal flow planning
  • Professional client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented under pressure
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including evenings and weekends
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments

Compensation

$80,000 – $100,000 per year
