Bonnie Michelman is the Vice President and CSO of Mass General Brigham

Bonnie Michelman’s extensive leadership and security management experience crosses diverse industries and national boundaries. She is Vice President/Chief Security Officer of Mass General Brigham, parent organization for 15 hospitals (including founding member Massachusetts General Hospital) and hundreds of healthcare satellite sites. Her broader accomplishments include nomination by Janet Napolitano to the Homeland Security Advisory Council where she served for six years. Bonnie’s professional contributions also include Instructor at Northeastern University’s College of Criminal Justice in the graduate program as well as consulting and lecturing in healthcare security, workplace and domestic violence, hate crimes, and risk assessment and management, among other topics. A published author in professional journals on safety, security, leadership and management, Bonnie is also an Executive Coach and performs Management Engineering, Strategic Planning, and ESRM assessments. She has been President of IAHSS, ASIS-International and ISMA, the triple crown.  She has served as expert witness in inadequate and negligent security litigation and consultant. Bonnie has received numerous national and international leadership distinctions and awards. She holds an MBA, an MS in Criminal Justice, a BA in Government and Sociology and holds CPP and CHPA certifications.

Lynn Dohm-Executive Director, WiCyS

Lynn Dohm’s area of focus is a critical aspect of cybersecurity: People.

With over 25 years of organizational and leadership experience, Lynn specializes in partnership building, advocacy, and strategy. As Executive Director of Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS), she is energized by the industry and community partnerships – both well-established and nascent – that WiCyS has fostered through its initiatives, training programs, partnerships, and recruitment efforts. Her leadership has established WiCyS as a leading model of how a collaborative, multi-organizational approach can strengthen the cybersecurity workforce. 

Lynn has held various roles in cybersecurity workforce enterprises, actively participating in grant-funded programs and nonprofits that help bridge the gap of the critical cybersecurity workforce shortage. Prior to WiCyS, Lynn contributed to launching the Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) and worked in various roles within the National Cybersecurity Training & Education Center (NCYTE), Center for Systems Security and Information Assurance (CSSIA), Cybersecurity Competition Federation (CyberFed), National CyberWatch Center, and National Cyber League, among others.

Tia Hopkins- Chief Cyber Resilience Officer & Field CTO eSentire

Tia has spent more than two decades in the IT and IT Security industries and is currently the Chief Cyber Resilience Officer & Field CTO at eSentire. In addition to her role at eSentire, she is an adjunct professor of Cybersecurity, women’s tackle football coach, keynote speaker, published author, and LinkedIn Learning Instructor.

Tia holds several industry certifications including the CISSP, CISM, and GSLC in addition to a BS in Information Technology, MS in Information Security and Assurance, MS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, and an Executive Master of Business Administration. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Cybersecurity Leadership where her research is focused on leveraging cyber resilience to bridge the communication gap between digital leaders, non-technical business leaders, and board directors.

Tia was recognized by SC Media as an outstanding educator in 2019, as well as one of The Software Report’s Top 25 Women Leaders in Cybersecurity and Cyber Defense Magazine’s Top 100 Women in Cybersecurity; both in 2020. In 2021, Tia was recognized as a Top Influencer in the Security Executives category by IFSEC Global and was #1 on Dark Reading’s list of ‘8 More Women in Security You May Not Know but Should’ in 2022. In 2023, Tia was named one of the Top 25 Leaders in Cybersecurity, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from AmeriCorps and the Office of the President of the United States, and earned the SANS Difference Makers People’s Choice Award for Team Leader of the Year. 

Tia is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and has been featured in well-known publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Dark Reading, and Information Week. She contributed a chapter to the book ‘The Rise of Cyber Women: Volume 2’ and is co-author of two best-selling books: ‘Hack the Cybersecurity Interview’ and ‘Securing Our Future: Embracing the Resilience and Brilliance of Black Women in Cyber’. Tia is also the Founder of Empow(H)er Cybersecurity, a non-profit organization aimed at inspiring and empowering women of color to pursue cybersecurity careers, and she sits on the board of Cyversity, a non-profit association dedicated to diversifying, educating and empowering women, traditionally underrepresented minorities, and veterans in their pursuits and growth within the cybersecurity industry.

Mindy M. Pretzman US Secret Service (ret.), Secret Service Agency President to the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (Emeritus)

Mindy began her professional career as a police officer before embarking on a 21-year adventure in the elite United States Secret Service as a Special Agent. In her career, she pursued, accepted, and thrived in every challenge including two assignments on the Presidential Detail, the latter as the head of the First Lady’s Detail. From protecting foreign dignitaries, former Presidents, Presidential children, First Ladies and the sitting US President, to securing event sites to include National Special Security Events, she has plenty of experience to offer the security industry. While serving in the USSS, Mindy performed philanthropic work as the Agency President to the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, providing unwavering support to members and the US Secret Service mission. Mindy is eager to offer impactful insight from a strategic security standpoint, her philanthropic work, and as a woman with 27 years of experience in a challenging industry.

Dr. Carter brings the value of over 30 years in the security field.  She served 20 years in the US Army in security and has worked the last 11 years in the compliance field working with cloud service providers for compliance to security frameworks.  Dr. Carter currently works for Coalfire Systems and also teaches the Cybersecurity Master degree programs at the University of Maryland Global Campus.  Dr. Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, a Master of Science in Information Systems Security, and a Doctorate in Computer Science with a concentration in Enterprise Information Systems.

Min Kyriannis is the CEO and Co-Founder of AMYNA Systems Inc.  For over two decades, Ms. Kyriannis has cultivated an expertise in enterprise and converged systems, information technology, operational technology, cybersecurity, physical security, and risk management.

Ms. Kyriannis has held senior roles in systems design, procurement, and implementation and has managed teams exceeding 200 personnel. Furthermore, she serves on the advisory boards of Security Systems News, the International Society of Automation (ISA) Aerospace, and the Curious Minds Dive Foundation. Ms. Kyriannis has served as a judge for the American Security Today’s Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards since its inception and has been the recipient of their Excellence in Cyber Security Award in 2022 and the Distinguished Excellence in Cyber Security Award in 2019.  Her commitment to advancing the field is further evident in her roles as a Board member for Women in International Security (WIIS) and as a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), New York Metro InfraGard, and the President’s Council.

Ms. Kyriannis’ leadership extends to her past roles as Chair of SIA’s Cybersecurity Advisory Board, Vice-Chair of SIA’s New Product Showcase, and co-Chair of WIIS-NY, solidifying her influence in shaping industry standards.

As a native English speaker, Ms. Kyriannis not only possesses fluency in Chinese-Mandarin and Chinese Taiwanese but also exhibits conversational proficiency in Japanese and Chinese-Cantonese, underscoring her exceptional global communication capabilities.

Karen Gispanski is the Senior Director of Enterprise Cyber Security, Privacy, and Information Officer (CISO) at Millennium Healthcare, a multi-state healthcare delivery organization, that is recognized as a prominent healthcare delivery platform. Danielle Weddepohl oversees Security Operations, Emergency Management, threat assessment and a 24/7 Security Operations Centre across Sheridan College’s three campuses.  After completing a Master’s degree in Military and Strategic Studies with a focus on Terrorism and Security, Danielle served as a Senior Project Officer at the Canada Border Services Agency, and as an Intelligence Analyst at the Communications Security Establishment Canada. Danielle then became a faculty member in Sheridan’s School of Public Safety where she taught courses across the Investigations and Police Foundations programs. Danielle is dedicated to advancing whole approaches to security and threat mitigation by fostering close relationships between internal departments and with community and industry partners. Danielle’s unique background in Public Safety and education is one that cultivates community wellness by fostering security responses that are grounded in care and concern, customer service, and equitable practice. Dr Linda Florence is also the Managing Director of The Florence Group, specializing in Enterprise Security Risk, Behavioral Threat assessments, WPV training and leadership coaching.  During her 30+ year career, she has lead security operations for Fortune 100 organizations including financial services, hospitality and manufacturing.   Her consulting portfolio includes high-net-worth clients, the U.S. military overseas, federal law enforcement agencies, and is a qualified expert witness in Security.

She has both a MS and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology with published research in Workplace Violence Prevention.  Linda’s academic teaching experience includes serving as the Dean for two universities, and she continues to mentor doctoral candidates.  She is a published author and researcher, including the Security Competency Model, which was adopted by the U.S. Department of Labor.  In 2018, Linda was recognized by the ASIS Women in Security Council with the prestigious Karen Marquez Award  for her lifelong commitment to education.  She is a two time recipient of the President’s Award of Merit in 2001 and 2015 respectively.

She was honored for her contribution to the cybersecurity community by being named as one of the Top 20 Women in Cyber Security in Canada. Aarti founded Standout To Lead to empower women in cybersecurity to join boards and SHE (Sharing Her Empowerment), a resource group with a mission to be a collective voice and accelerate change within the organization.

 She currently works at Microsoft and brings 25 years of sales and leadership experience. She has worked at cybersecurity organizations such as Sophos, Trend, VMWare Carbon Black, Bugcrowd and Tines. Aarti actively participates in the cyber security community as a speaker, a mentor and a judge for provincial scholarships. She volunteers her time on the OWASP Vancouver Board, WiCyS Western Canada Affiliate Board, Vigitrust Global advisory board and serves on the ObserveID board.

 Aarti is one of the authors of the book “The Rise of the Cyber Women: Volume Two” and was quoted in Canadian Security Magazine as she shared her views on the importance of soft skills to break down barriers in traditional hiring.
